Program Manager Product Development

A growing pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Product Development Program Manager to join their team on-site in New Jersey.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced program leader to take ownership of a 3-product portfolio in development programs and help drive complex development activities from strategy through execution.

You’ll work across Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial and Finance, bringing functional teams together around clear development plans, milestones, risks and priorities.

• Lead an assigned portfolio of product development programs and drive progress against key development milestones
• Develop and own comprehensive development plans covering timelines, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies and key milestones
• Integrate functional plans into a single cross-functional development plan with clear ownership and accountability
• Lead milestone and stage-gate reviews and ensure appropriate program documentation is maintained
• Prepare and present concise program updates, risks, mitigation plans and key decisions to senior leadership and governance teams
• Maintain integrated timelines, resource plans, budgets, governance materials, milestone forecasts and executive reporting

• 7+ years of experience leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences development programs or projects
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional development programs
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical development lifecycle is required
• Demonstrated experience managing integrated timelines, critical paths, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies and milestones
• Experience with project or portfolio management tools
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, healthcare or business discipline; advanced degree preferred
• PMP or comparable program management certification is a plus, but not required
