Job SummaryThe Junior Construction Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects within pharmaceutical and biotech facilities. This role assists senior project managers in coordinating contractors, schedules, budgets, and documentation while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards. The position is ideal for candidates with an engineering, CQV, or regulated-industry background seeking to grow into a full project management role.
Responsibilities- Project Coordination & Execution
- Support construction project planning, scheduling, and execution for pharma/biotech facilities, including clean rooms, utilities, process areas, and support spaces
- Assist in coordinating general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and daily construction activities
- Participate in site walks, progress meetings, and contractor coordination meetings
- Schedule, Cost & Documentation Support
- Assist in maintaining project schedules, cost tracking, and change logs
- Support review of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation
- Help track change orders, field issues, and punch list items
- Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with company and client standards
- GMP, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure construction activities align with GMP requirements, safety standards, and company procedures
- Support coordination between Construction, Engineering, CQV, and Automation teams
- Assist with turnover documentation for commissioning, qualification, and validation
- Support resolution of construction issues impacting startup and qualification
- Safety & Site Compliance
- Promote and support site safety programs and contractor compliance
- Participate in safety walks and ensure corrective actions are tracked
- Assist with ensuring construction activities follow EHS and site safety requirements
- Communication & Reporting
- Prepare meeting minutes, action item logs, and status reports
- Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to senior project managers
- Support coordination between design, construction, and operations teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
