Job Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Health Insurance industry! In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service, processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities- Thoroughly understand and maintain knowledge of all products offered within the Health Insurance industry
- Provide high-quality assistance and satisfaction to all customers who contact the team
- Efficiently complete written correspondence, voice mail, and email messages from customers and/or insurance company contacts
- Document all inbound and outbound calls accurately and prepare notes for customer files
- Hold personal responsibility for the outcome of every customer interaction received, including necessary follow-ups
- Assist in updating and maintaining current documentation for all processes and procedures
- Stay updated with all relevant compliance and legal regulations
- Mentor and provide assistance to new team members
- Report any customer complaints or concerns to management in line with company customer complaint process
- Work actively to maintain customer retention
- Utilize Basic Office Skills, Customer Service, Data Entry - Numeric, and Data Entry skills as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably within the health insurance sector
- Proficiency in basic office skills, such as organizing, multitasking, and managing paperwork
- Strong customer service skills, with a proven ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively
- Experience in data entry, with a focus on numeric data entry
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when inputting data and maintaining records
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with health insurance industry practices and terminologies
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain client confidentiality
- Comfortable working with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required; a degree or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
