About Achievers
Achievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is New Jersey’s first public charter school for middle and high school students, offering four STEAM pathways:
Health Sciences, Digital Media, Audio Engineering, and Cisco Computer Networking. Students can earn up to 60 college credits, NOCTI credentials, and workplace training. AECP aims to ensure students graduate with content mastery, skills, and experiences relevant to the current marketplace and beyond.

Job Description
The CTE and Cisco Academy Director will develop research-based technology certification programs, oversee CCNA, CCNP, CCIE courses, support internships, and ensure on-time graduation. The role involves collaboration with school leadership, staff, students, parents, and industry partners to build and sustain robust tech pathways.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and leading technology certification programs
- Developing partnerships with colleges, shared-time programs, and industry
- Preparing students for certifications and careers in networking
- Recruiting and training staff for certification courses
- Securing internships and employment opportunities for students
- Conducting staff professional development
Qualifications
- Strong strategic and project management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with partnerships and community engagement
- Knowledge of laws affecting public charter schools
- Master’s degree or higher strongly preferred
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in education or related fields
- Valid credentials or licenses, including CTE certification
- Organizational, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience with technology systems and Google Apps
- Proficiency with standard office equipment
- Willingness to travel for development opportunities
Physical Requirements
- Work onsite daily, setting up spaces and events
