Music Teacher - Elementary Instrumental

Elementary Instrumental Music Teacher

We are seeking a skilled music educator who can foster an inclusive, inspiring, student-centered environment; teach instrumental (strings) music to novice musicians in grades 3 - 5; and sustain the growth of an established instrumental program.

Requirements:

• NJ Teacher of Music (Standard, CEAS, CE, Provisional)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Visual and Performing Arts, with a specific focus on the Music Ensembles strand.
• Intentional integration of Universal Design for Learning principles and culturally responsive practices into instruction.
• Advanced proficiency performing on at least one instrument, ideally a string instrument.
• Demonstrated experience teaching novice to intermediate string instruments; experience teaching band instruments is a plus.
• Proven success with directing school concerts and community performances.
• Experience preparing students for participation in regional music festivals.
• Active implementation of recruitment and retention strategies.
• Capable of managing instrument inventory across multiple buildings and handling instrument maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to travel between multiple school buildings.
• Bilingual capability in Spanish is a plus.

Salary:
As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level Minimum $67,958 - maximum $99,181
