Role DescriptionThe Preschool Teacher role at Little Kids College is a full-time, on-site position located in Trenton, NJ. The Preschool Teacher will plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons, create a safe and welcoming classroom environment, and support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Daily responsibilities include implementing curriculum activities, facilitating play-based learning, monitoring student progress, and maintaining classroom routines. The teacher will communicate regularly with families and colleagues, document observations and assessments, and follow school policies and health and safety guidelines.
Collaboration with other educators and participation in staff meetings, professional development, and school events are also part of this role.
- Ability to design and implement Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development activities appropriate for preschool learners.
- Knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education and Kindergarten readiness practices.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
- Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (P3 Certificatio) or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a preschool or early learning environment.
- Understanding of child development, classroom management, and positive behavior support.
- Ability to comply with licensing requirements, including background checks and any required certifications.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, culturally responsive, and safe learning environment for all children.
