Qualifications & Ideal

Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification (required)
• Previous experience teaching students with disabilities in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Genuine commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, adapt, and implement individualized lesson plans to meet each student’s unique learning goals
• Assess student strengths and challenges, utilizing data to tailor instructional strategies
• Develop, maintain, and monitor IEPs, supporting students’ academic and behavioral objectives
• Foster a supportive, structured environment for optimal student engagement and growth
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents
• Proactively address challenges while celebrating successes and growth milestones
• Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
