Summary
PACO Group (PACO) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Scheduler to join our project team supporting the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s Air Train Replacement Program at Newark Liberty International Airport. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing the development, management, and reporting of detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery of this complex, high‑profile infrastructure program.
The Senior Scheduler will work closely with project management, design, construction, and project controls teams to monitor progress, analyze variances, and provide proactive scheduling solutions to keep the project on track.
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed CPM schedules using Primavera P6 to support project planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather input and validate schedule updates.
- Perform critical path analysis, resource loading, cost/schedule integration, and schedule risk analysis.
- Review contractor baseline schedules, monthly updates, and time impact analyses for compliance with project requirements.
- Track progress against milestones, contractual obligations, and agency reporting requirements.
- Provide schedule variance analysis, recovery plan recommendations, and forecasting of potential delays.
- Prepare and deliver schedule reports, dashboards, and presentations for project leadership and stakeholders.
- Support claims analysis, dispute resolution, and forensic scheduling when needed.
- Ensure compliance with agency project controls standards, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in project scheduling for large‑scale infrastructure or transit programs.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and other scheduling/project controls software.
- Experience in project scheduling for large-scale infrastructure or transit programs.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and scheduling best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in time impact analysis, delay claims, and earned value management.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights, critical thinking.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple schedules and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants, and agency stakeholders.
- Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive‑level reports and presentations.
- Prior experience with airport/aviation or rail transit projects strongly preferred.
- Relevant certifications: PMI‑SP, PSP (AACE), or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), resource/cost loading, and schedule risk analysis.
- Experience reviewing contractor schedules, performing delay analysis, and supporting claims.
