We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing team and support a diverse portfolio of site development, infrastructure, and construction consulting projects. This position offers a balance of field investigations, engineering design, project management, and client interaction, providing exposure to projects from initial assessment through construction completion.
The successful candidate will work closely with property owners, developers, contractors, architects, and public agencies to deliver practical and technically sound engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site evaluations and engineering investigations.
- Prepare technical reports documenting findings, recommendations, and project requirements.
- Develop construction drawings, bid documents, and technical specifications for.
- Stormwater management and drainage system.
- Grading and site development.
- Asphalt and concrete pavement system.
- Retaining walls and MSE wall system.
- Erosion and sediment control measure.
- Other site and civil infrastructure improvement.
- Perform engineering calculations related to drainage, grading, pavement, and site design.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and construction budgets.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through construction completion.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Track project progress and identify opportunities to improve project delivery and efficiency.
- Represent clients during bidding and contractor selection processes.
- Evaluate contractor proposals and assist with contract awards.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Serve as the client's on-site representative during construction activities.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
- Conduct site visits and field observations throughout construction.
- Apply local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and engineering standards.
- Assist with permitting and agency coordination.
- Prepare documentation related to.
- Land disturbance permit.
- Stormwater management.
- Erosion and sediment control.
- Drainage and utility impact.
- Coordinate with jurisdictional authorities throughout the permitting process.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering, site development, construction consulting, or related experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Experience with Stormwater and drainage system.
- Grading and earthwork.
- Pavement design and rehabilitation.
- Retaining wall and MSE wall system.
- Construction administration and field inspection.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (or willingness to obtain within three months).
- Experience working directly with clients, contractors, and public agencies.
- Familiarity with local permitting and land development processes.
