Responsibilities
- Prepare traffic signal, signing and striping, pavement marking, electrical, and lighting plans for transportation and roadway improvement projects.
- Conduct traffic capacity and operational analyses for intersections, corridors, and transportation networks.
- Perform traffic forecasting studies to evaluate future traffic conditions and support transportation planning efforts.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret traffic data, including traffic volumes, turning movements, speeds, and roadway performance metrics.
- Analyze crash data to identify safety concerns, determine trends, and develop recommendations for roadway and intersection improvements.
- Develop and apply transportation simulation models to evaluate existing and proposed traffic operations.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and supporting documentation for public and private sector transportation projects.
- Experience preparing traffic signal, signing and striping, pavement marking, electrical, and lighting plans.
- Proficiency in traffic capacity and operational analysis.
- Experience with traffic forecasting, traffic data interpretation, and crash data analysis.
- Knowledge of transportation simulation tools such as Synchro, Sim Traffic, VISSIM, SIDRA, or HCS.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem‑solving skills.
This is a Permanent position based out of Trenton, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
