Engineer

The Company is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team in an exciting design and manufacturing environment. The individual will function as a contributing member of project teams in the design, development, testing, manufacturing and sustaining initiatives of high‑performance products for use in the aviation, marine and military environments.

The individual will be expected to troubleshoot creatively, manage priorities, meet timelines and technical targets, develop working relationships that facilitate progress, and effectively communicate results. The individual will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that the product design is strategically focused and targeted towards our customer’s requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform product design and development throughout all stages of projects
  • Manage the daily actions for various product development or sustaining production projects, including reporting on progress during routine reviews
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed specifications and technical packages to support development, production, and costing
  • Work closely with the central R&D team to trial new product technologies, identify critical processing conditions, and implement new technologies into production
  • Lead design and drawing reviews for new components on assigned projects
Requirements:
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong passion for innovation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop detailed specifications and technical packages
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Knowledge of construction methods, including adhesive bonding and heat sealing (preferred)
  • Experience with inflatable, apparel, or textile products is a plus (not required)
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in product development or engineering

This position is based in Trenton, NJ. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
