Fund Controller @ Real Estate PE firm

Coda Search is recruiting for a global asset management seeking to hire a Fund Controller with offices in New Jersey, NJ. This is a rapidly growing real estate PE group with over $4BN AUM and has continued to grow year over year. The team is looking to hire a Fund Controller to oversee a portfolio of funds which would include preparing the monthly financial reporting package, NAV packages, reviewing the 3rd party administrator, and resolving any discrepancies with the investment team.

This role would be a part of a high-performing team that has seen record growth and has big plans for 2024 and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and investor reporting packages
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast fund performance and project returns
• Collaborate with the investment team to evaluate potential acquisitions
• Assist in the preparation of investor presentations and meetings
• Manage fund cash flow, including capital calls, distributions, and liquidity management.
• Oversee the administration of fund accounts, bank relationships, and treasury operations.
• Ensure proper allocation of capital and efficient use of resources
• Provide financial analysis and insights to guide investment strategy and fund operations
• Review the 3rd party administrator and reconcile any discrepancies
• Lead the annual audit and work closely with the external auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Big 4 accounting experience a huge plus
• Prior hedge fund, asset management, or private equity experience
• Strong system and problem-solving skills
