The New Jersey Judiciary, Probation Services Division, Child Support Enforcement Unit, is seeking a highly motivated administrative professional with excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Under the direction of an Administrative Supervisor, or other supervisory personnel, the selected individual will serve as a key member on either the NJKiDS Systems Team or the Intergovernmental Central Registry (ICR) Team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess strong knowledge of the NJKiDS automated system, as well as familiarity with the 2008 Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) revisions, the Hague Convention, and the ability to apply relevant statutes, court rules, and case law to child support matters that cross state and international borders.
REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
- Function as an NJKiDS Systems Team member by providing virtual assistance and creating help-desk tickets for user access across several systems within the child support domain, as well as tickets for all NJKiDS system development and defects. These systems include NJKiDS, OIT, DMV, CLEAR, NJKiDS Portal and FACTS.
- Reset passwords and run quarterly audits to ensure only Title IV-D staff have access to the various databases, and work with local county probation offices to ensure accurate data for annual staffing models and system security.
- Provide technical assistance to local child support staff by reviewing database activities as they relate to performance measures and enforcement methods so that all tools are utilized to their fullest extent.
- Download and disseminate financial, held monies, bench warrant, child support collection, JOBS program, and other related reports to local offices, and conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support performance and operational effectiveness.
- Audit monthly statewide Trans Union transactions for OMAS Financial Services invoice payment.
- Analyze child support initiatives, programs, and units to assess effectiveness and recommend process and workflow improvements.
- Function as an Intergovernmental Case Registry Team member by investigating and resolving inquiries and complaints from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, litigants, attorneys, employers, government officials, and out-of-state child support agencies.
- Review and provide responses to written correspondence, complaints, inquiries, and petitions with the objective of identifying and resolving issues and ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries.
- Review and respond to electronic consumer credit disputes evaluating the reason for the dispute and providing status information to the credit agencies.
- Provide structured technical assistance to NJKiDS Systems Team members and co-workers; assist the Administrative Specialist 4 in delivering UIFSA trainings to intergovernmental staff statewide; and provide support and guidance to vicinage staff as needed.
- Collaborate with management on deadlines, regulations, and policy updates, and participate in statewide work groups to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
- Assist statewide child support committees, including Policy and Procedures, Probation User Group, NJKiDS Training, Customer Service, and Intergovernmental, with scheduling, agendas, minutes, SharePoint postings, and administrative support.
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience, one of which shall be in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience. A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience.
