Deputy Municipal Clerk/ Registrar/Water Clerk – Hampton Borough.The Borough is seeking a qualified Full-Time Deputy Clerk with proficiency in office software and strong attention to detail to assist the Municipal Clerk with all statutory duties. This position includes handling OPRA requests, issuing licenses, answering public inquiries, and performing other administrative duties as assigned. RMC preferred or willing to obtain. Active Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
This position includes serving as Deputy Registrar. CMR preferred or willing to obtain. The position also includes learning the roles of Deputy Water Clerk and Deputy Tax Collector. This position is being created in anticipation of the qualified Applicant moving into the position of Municipal Clerk/Registrar/ Water Clerk due to a retirement vacancy February 1, 2027. Salary will commensurate with qualifications, education and experience.
Current salary range: $17.00-$30.00 per hour. EOE. The Borough reserves the right to interview and hire as a qualified candidate is identified.
