Senior Security Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a 24/7 Cyber Security Operations team that continuously monitors the company’s security.
• Triage security alerts to enable rapid incident detection and response.
• Perform deep‑dive analysis of security events, logs, network traffic and forensic data to determine root cause and identify suspicious or anomalous activities.
• Recommend modifications to internal defenses and processes for more effective security operations.
• Manage security incidents through all phases of the incident‑response lifecycle, ensuring response and remediation actions are completed in line with SLAs.
• Provide analytic investigative support for complex security incidents.
• Support tuning of security tooling and develop bespoke correlation rules and use‑cases aligned to business operations.
• Maximise automation and orchestration of day‑to‑day operations to improve efficiency.
• Execute L2/L3 event or incident response and investigate suspicious activity.
• Shape operations to manage cases, lead response processes, and delegate tasks to junior responders and MSSP analysts.
• Generate post‑incident reviews to close gaps and prevent future events.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence to groom threat feeds and translate findings.
• Prioritise content, develop, and implement playbooks and runbooks.
• Serve as a key member of the Cyber Incident Response Team during major cyber incidents.
• Maintain relationships with investigation and remediation teams across the company.
• Lead efforts in developing security awareness training for the broader organisation.

• Five years of experience in cybersecurity within a Cyber Security Operations Center.
• Experience responding to significant cyber incidents involving organised crime and nation‑state threat actors.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Three years working in a Cyber Security Operations Centre.
• Experience working across international manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of security controls and how they are used to detect and respond.
• Knowledge of common network protocols, edge routing technologies, firewall/IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/XDR.
• Ability to communicate complex problems succinctly.
• Ability to work within a team environment, sharing workload and responsibility.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCDA, GSOC, GCIH.

Warren, NJ – requires five days in the office and a on‑call weekend rotation.

$149,994 – $224,991.
