Job Title: IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Administrator

Location: Riverwoods, IL (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Administrator with 8+ years of hands‑on experience managing enterprise scheduling environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering, monitoring, troubleshooting and automating IBM Workload Scheduler infrastructure running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) while ensuring high availability and operational excellence.

• Administer, configure, patch, and upgrade IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) environments.
• Manage and support MDM, BMDM, Dynamic Agents, FTAs and Dynamic Workload Console (DWC).
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot job failures, performance issues and agent‑related incidents.
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Bash, Ansible and IWS REST APIs.
• Perform backup, disaster recovery testing, security administration and compliance support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and teams to manage job scheduling, deployments and change control processes.
• Maintain high platform availability and support enterprise batch processing operations.

• 3 5+ years of IBM Workload Scheduler (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of IWS architecture, scheduling lifecycle and CLI tools (Conman, Composer, Planman).
• Hands‑on experience with RHEL 8+, shell scripting and Linux administration.
• Experience with Web Sphere Liberty, SSL/TLS certificates and system performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ansible and automation best practices.
• Understanding of Oracle databases, SQL, networking, AWS and secrets management tools (Cyber Ark, Hashi Corp Vault, etc.).

• Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise scheduling environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and Dev Ops process experience.
