Overview
The Workday Functional Analyst is responsible for assisting with the design, configuration, solutioning, and management of Workday to support the Benefits and Time Tracking & Absence modules.
Responsibilities- Assist with design, configuration, solutioning, and ongoing management of Workday benefits, time tracking, and absence modules.
- Gather, analyze, and document business or system processes and requirements, utilizing user stories, use cases, diagrams, or other templates.
- Perform Workday (WD) configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Partner with developers on Workday Studio integrations and troubleshoot benefits vendor integrations.
- Apply knowledge of Workday security framework, including domains, roles, segment‑based security, and governance best practices.
- Create and maintain reports, calculated fields, and dashboards to support operational and business needs.
- Provide technical support to end users by investigating and resolving incidents.
- Conduct general quality assurance activities, review deliverables, and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in testing activities and ensure assignments are completed within expected time frames.
- Proactively communicate status, provide due dates, and address gaps or issues that may impact deliverable timelines.
- Seek mentoring, conduct self‑study, and stay informed on industry trends and company strategic initiatives.
- Actively contribute to solution design, process improvement initiatives, and vendor collaboration to support current and future needs.
- Research and identify new Workday features that add value to existing solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of hands‑on configuration experience in the Benefits and Time Tracking & Absence Workday modules.
- 2-4 years of experience with Workday reporting and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs).
- Knowledge of multiple project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Workday HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking/Absence certifications or related licenses.
- Experience with Workday Studio integrations.
- Experience in mentoring or leading knowledge sharing sessions.
- Salary range: $100,402 – $116,574, commensurate with experience and credentials.
