IT Project Manager, Change Management
We are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to support a large-scale US Wires implementation program for a banking client. The role will be responsible for establishing program governance, driving integrated planning, managing delivery cadence, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and ensuring effective coordination across business, technology, product, infrastructure, integration, migration, testing, and operations work streams.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and manage the overall program governance framework, including steering committee cadence, PMO forums, workstream reviews, reporting structure, escalation paths, and decision-making forums.
- Develop and maintain the integrated implementation plan covering requirements, fit-gap analysis, solution design, product readiness, infrastructure readiness, integration, migration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Track program milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and action items across multiple work streams and ensure timely closure through structured follow-up.
- Coordinate with client stakeholders, business teams, technology teams, product owners, architects, SMEs, testing teams, and delivery leadership to drive alignment on scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Support planning and execution of US Wires implementation activities including Fedwire, CHIPS, payment processing, operations workflows, exception handling, reporting, and regulatory readiness.
- Lead status reporting for executive leadership, including weekly status reports, dashboard updates, RAID logs, milestone tracking, and governance meeting materials.
- Manage change control processes by tracking scope changes, impact assessments, approvals, and implementation alignment across project teams.
- Facilitate project planning workshops, workstream deep-dive sessions, backlog reviews, readiness checkpoints, and sign-off discussions with stakeholders.
- Ensure program adherence to delivery methodology, quality processes, documentation standards, audit expectations, and client governance requirements.
- Drive proactive risk mitigation and escalation management to ensure that program commitments are met with minimal schedule, cost, or quality impact.
- 8–10 years of overall experience in program management, project management, PMO, or delivery governance within the banking and financial services domain.
- Strong experience managing large-scale payments implementation, modernization, or transformation programs, preferably involving US domestic wire payments.
- Good understanding of US Wires ecosystem including Fedwire, CHIPS, correspondent banking, payment operations, payment exceptions, cutover planning, migration, and regulatory controls.
- Experience working with banking clients, technology vendors, product teams, and distributed onsite-offshore delivery teams.
- Hands‑on experience in integrated program planning, milestone management, RAID management, dependency tracking, financial tracking, resource planning, and executive reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models, including sprint planning, backlog tracking, release planning, testing cycles, and implementation governance.
- Ability to prepare high‑quality executive dashboards, governance decks, project plans, action trackers, readiness checklists, and status reports.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, negotiation, and escalation management skills.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and other program reporting or collaboration platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent program/project management certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in US banking, payments modernization, ISO 20022 migration, wire transfer platforms, or core banking/payment hub implementation will be an advantage.
- Experience supporting regulatory, audit, operational readiness, and production cutover governance for mission‑critical banking platforms.
The ideal candidate is a senior PMO professional with strong banking domain knowledge, proven experience in managing complex implementation programs, and the ability to work closely with senior client stakeholders. The candidate should be comfortable operating in a high‑visibility environment, managing multiple work streams, driving governance discipline, and ensuring predictable delivery outcomes for a US Wires implementation program.
