Technology Services Lead

• Manage day-to-day activities and functions for the assigned team
• Delegate work, supervise processes, and provide leadership, mentorship, and direction
• Manage on-call and support schedules
• Solve complex technical and analytical issues and communicate results to senior management and Line of Business partners
• Manage and prioritize team tasks, assignments, tickets, and service level agreements
• Participate in defect, incident, problem, and change review meetings and release activities
• Provide escalation support and leadership point of contact for high-priority incidents and consulting engagements
• Establish alerts, monitoring, dashboards, and processes for new projects and initiatives
• Support resource interviews and onboarding
• Perform access reviews and compliance activities
• Create on-call rotation schedules and ensure off-hours, weekend, and release-window support
• Administer and maintain PostgreSQL / Cockroach DB production environments
• Design and implement database clusters and replication
• Define data models and schema designs
• Optimize performance through query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis
• Monitor performance and conduct capacity planning
• Troubleshoot database issues, replication errors, and production incidents
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Implement database authentication, authorization, and encryption controls
• Develop Python and shell automation scripts
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, and cluster expansions

• 8 years of job-related experience required
• PostgreSQL / Cockroach DB database administration
• Replication, observability and AIOps, clustering, and data modeling
• Query optimization, indexing, capacity planning, and database tuning
• Python and shell scripting
• Linux/Unix
• PostgreSQL / Cockroach DB Atlas on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Backup and recovery
• Database security
• High availability architecture
• Financial industry experience desired

Demonstrates extensive experience in PostgreSQL and Cockroach DB database administration, including replication, query optimization, and performance tuning. Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex technical issues, and implement database security and disaster recovery processes.
