• Graduation from accredited law school with a Juris Doctor Degree; background in conducting legal research, analyzing & evaluating legal documents, rules, regulations, and/or legislation, or review & analysis of regulatory matters in a government agency.
• Under supervision, perform housing related assistance and act as a liaison between the Division of Housing & Community Resources and the department's Regulatory services in receiving, formulating and transmitting requests for legal advice on behalf of the Division.
• Conduct hearings for Division and render written decisions as required.
• Review & analyze Division's program documents including reasonable accommodation requests.
• Conduct legal research on rules and regulations on programs and review policies and procedures for compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on Legislative Agenda items and complete special projects as assigned within established time frames.
• Handles OPRA requests as records custodian.

• Ability to conduct legal research, analyze & evaluate legal documents & regulatory matters in a government agency; or 1 year experience as an attorney.
• Eligibility to practice as an attorney-at-Law in the State of NJ.
• Must possess a current Certificate of Good Standing issued by the State of NJ Board of Bar Examiners.
• Certificate of Good Standing issued by any other state in the US.
• Active NJ State Bar License.
