The Senior Manager, Network Supply Planner will lead the development and agreement of a feasible supply plan for Finished goods, Drug Product, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients over a typical three‑year tactical horizon. The role works closely with execution planners, external manufacturing, and global supply partners to ensure seamless supply for patients.
Responsibilities- Drive the monthly network planning process for assigned brands, aligning with agreed metrics such as inventory months of cover and plan versus budget.
- Develop what‑if supply scenarios and recommend actions in response to changes in demand or supply.
- Own the product structure process to ensure demand propagation through BMS planning and execution systems.
- Coordinate global analytics, including product trends, demand evolution, inventory projections, and supply performance risks.
- Collaborate with BMS sites and external manufacturing groups to align site manufacturing plans and CMO forecasts with contracts.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to align plans, scenarios, and solutions for specified business deliverables.
- Identify risks and opportunities, provide input to the Global Supply Review process, and drive escalation as needed.
- Maintain accurate supply planning information via the product structure template and support mastering of data governance.
- Partner with Long‑Range Planning, Business Continuity Management, Product Strategy, Quality Management, and Network Strategy units.
- Support new product introductions, ensuring optimal alignment of supply network plans with launch timelines.
- Champion continuous improvement of planning tools and processes, supporting enhancements in SAP and Kinaxis Rapid Response.
- Utilize BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI) and other analytics tools to monitor KPIs, perform root‑cause analysis, and provide data‑driven decision support.
- Execute tasks using tools such as WMS, SAP, Tableau, Riverlogic, and Kinaxis, following SOPs and maintaining high data accuracy.
- Adapt to emerging digital technologies, AI and ML systems, and integrate them into daily operations.
- Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Preferred advanced degree, diploma, or certification in supply chain (e.g., APICS CIPM, CSCP).
- 5–7 years of supply chain experience in a global or multi‑plant pharmaceutical or consumer product company.
- Experience with ERP (SAP ECC recommended) and advanced planning systems such as Kinaxis Rapid Response.
- Knowledge of site capacity planning, global product supply planning, cGMP, FDA, EMA, TGA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and rapid decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in negotiating and influencing without authority in complex high‑impact environments.
- Excellent oral and written presentation and communication abilities.
- Business acumen and ability to persuade teams with fact‑based judgments.
Base salary range for this role in New Brunswick, NJ: $138,570 – $167,911 per year. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility.
