MAIN JOB OBJECTIVEThe Senior Director of Supply Chain will lead and optimize all aspects of the company’s end-to-end supply chain operations. This critical role encompasses demand planning, freight & customs, production & material planning, inventory management, supply planning, and item master management. The Senior Director will be responsible for executing supply chain strategies that drive efficiencies, reduce costs, enhance agility, and ensure the seamless flow of products from components to customers, ultimately supporting the company’s growth objectives and market presence.
The Senior Director will develop and implement best practices and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
- Direct daily supply chain activities to ensure efficient product flow and on-time delivery.
- Monitor and report on supply chain KPIs, addressing issues proactively.
- Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives across logistics, warehousing, and procurement, in close collaboration with the Purchasing and Finance department to align with budget goals.
- Lead demand forecasting processes, collaborating closely with sales and marketing team, to generate accurate projections and optimize fulfillment rates and inventory levels.
- Develop and execute global supply plans, aligning with production and inventory targets.
- Oversee material and production planning with contract manufacturers, optimizing schedules.
- Manage inventory levels to balance service and costs, preventing stockouts and excess, with regular reporting and collaboration with Finance department.
- Supervise global freight, warehousing, and customs operations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Data & Systems
- Maintain accurate supply chain master data in the ERP system.
- Utilize ERP and other systems to optimize supply chain processes.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP.
- Guide and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with external and internal partners, including rest of Operations departments (Purchasing, New product Planning, Quality, Sustainability and Regulatory), Finance for budgeting, Marketing/Sales/ Local LVMH supply chain teams for product launches, demand planning, inventory control and optimization.
- Oversee hiring, performance, and development of team members.
- Gain a deep understanding of fresh's global business strategy, product portfolio, and market dynamics.
- Establish strong working relationships with key cross-functional leaders in Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Markets.
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing supply chain processes and identify key areas for immediate improvement and optimization.
- Develop and present a strategic roadmap for enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
- Begin implementing initial process improvements and risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain.
- Successfully implement key strategic supply chain initiatives, resulting in measurable improvements in cost savings, service levels, and inventory turns.
- Drive significant advancements in supply chain data analytics and reporting, providing actionable insights for business decision-making.
- Enhance supplier performance management, developing stronger partnerships.
- Develop and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position on average of 7.5 hours/day.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
