Assistant Maintenance Director
Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Director to help keep our skilled nursing facility safe, comfortable and well maintained. This hands-on position supports the Maintenance Director with daily repairs, preventive maintenance and building operations.

Assistant Maintenance Director Responsibilities
- Perform general building repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting and carpentry.
- Complete preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
- Assist the Maintenance Director with daily assignments, inspections and maintenance records.
- Help maintain compliance with applicable life safety, fire safety and facility requirements.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as assigned.
- Identify and promptly report equipment failures, safety hazards and repair needs.
- Complete work safely while respecting residents' privacy, comfort and daily routines.
Assistant Maintenance Director Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility required.
- Working knowledge of general building maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with life safety requirements in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize assignments and follow through on repairs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff and vendors.
- Supervisory or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
