Our client, a leading regional property and casualty insurance provider headquartered in West Trenton, NJ, is seeking a seasoned Commercial Lines Product Manager to lead the strategic development and performance of their Commercial Package and Umbrella insurance products
. This role plays a critical part in shaping product vision, driving profitable growth, and collaborating across departments to deliver high-impact solutions in a competitive market.
- As the Commercial Lines Product Manager, you will:
Drive responsible and profitable growth across Commercial Package and Umbrella lines. - Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Sales/Marketing, and Customer Service.
- Lead and mentor a team of Actuarial and Business Insights Analysts.
- Contribute to annual planning with marketing, finance, and operations.
- Promote stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage CAT exposures in alignment with corporate strategy.
- Present rate changes, product recommendations, and business updates to executive leadership.
- Identify and evaluate new product and service concepts.
- Serve as a key member of the business unit’s leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Commercial Lines P&C insurance, including 5+ years in Commercial Package and Umbrella product management.
- Experience with Workers’ Compensation and/or Commercial Auto product management.
- Expertise in gathering competitive intelligence, conducting analysis, and providing insights on risk management, rates, and product recommendations.
- Proven ability to assess market expansion opportunities across multiple states.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in competitive intelligence and risk analysis.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Actuarial experience.
