Project Manager – Client‑Side/Consultancy Experience - Truro

  • Full-time
  • Truro

We are a dynamic, forward‑thinking business that has doubled in size over the past 10 years propelled by our passion and reputation. The first of our kind to achieve B Corp status in the world, and awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – Sustainable development, we build smarter, more sustainable, future‑focused projects with positive impact on our communities and environment. Our acclaimed Futures programme creates opportunities for personal and professional development in a culture where you can thrive.

We commit to investing in you and your future.

At Ward Williams, we want you to be your authentic self, feeling confident to speak your mind, to feel relaxed in your role, but most importantly, to offer a different take on how a Project Manager can play a part in positive change, working across a wide variety of projects. Variety is key; you won’t be pigeonholed into one sector.

Custodianship at the core of Ward Williams & how we operate:

Collectively elevating everyone and leaving a legacy for the next generation is at the heart of our Partnership model.

You will be supported and encouraged to make a positive impact, allowing for an authentic culture where people are supported and trusted. This is more than just words; we actively push all members of staff to upskill, whether that is becoming chartered, or more tailored upskilling, learning and development. You are not just an employee; you are our future, and we commit to investing in you.

If you have ideas, brilliant - we want to help you achieve your goals!

We’re seeking a talented, dynamic Project Manager to join our growing team in Truro. If you’re ready for career progression, greater visibility, and the chance to make a real impact, this is an opportunity to thrive in a business that both challenges and supports you.

Impact – You want to be part of something that matters and care about creating positive change for clients, communities, and the environment.

Imagination – You’re curious and open‑minded, always looking for new ideas and better ways of doing things to benefit our projects and the people we work with.

Authenticity – You’re honest, genuine, and collaborative, and you value a culture where people are true to themselves and their purpose.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in a construction consultancy environment, confidence in client delivery, and the ambition to grow their career. You’ll be working at the forefront of high‑profile projects across a range of sectors across the South West.

Working from our Truro office offers the chance to be part of a close‑knit, supportive team of Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Building Surveyors, based in one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall. The office has a friendly, collaborative feel, with people working closely together, sharing knowledge and supporting one another across disciplines. We value an office‑based working environment, as it encourages collaboration, learning and strong working relationships, while still allowing you to enjoy everything the local area has to offer — from coastal walks to nearby beaches.

We’re looking for a well‑rounded Project Manager who enjoys being involved in all aspects of a project and who wants to play an active role in the continued growth of the Truro office. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues across multiple disciplines, contributing to a varied workload and helping to shape the future of the office. You’ll also be working with apprentices and junior team members as they build their careers.

It’s an opportunity to combine interesting, varied work with a great quality of life, in an office that values teamwork, trust and a positive working culture.

To support and assist with the provision of project management services, including technical advice, pre and post‑contract project management services.
