Our client, a well-established UK-based Market Access consultancy, is expanding internationally and launching a US office as part of its next phase of growth. Market Access and HEOR sit at the core of its integrated Evidence & Access offering, spanning strategy development, evidence generation, pricing, health policy, payer engagement, and access communications.
This is a foundational leadership hire with full responsibility for building and scaling the US business. The successful candidate will combine deep US market access expertise with a global outlook, leading multi-country engagements across the US and key European markets (EU4+UK) while positioning the firm as a trusted global access partner.
Role OverviewThe US Practice Lead will own US growth, revenue generation, client leadership, and team build. This role combines commercial leadership, subject matter expertise, and operational oversight.
- Establish and lead the US office and growth strategy
- Drive revenue generation and business development
- Develop and implement a US-focused business development strategy
- Lead complex global Market Access and HEOR engagements
- Build and scale a high-performing US consulting team
- Act as senior ambassador for the firm in the US market
- Define and execute the US market entry and long-term growth strategy, translating vision into revenue targets and hiring plans.
- Develop and implement a US-focused business development strategy, leading major pitches and expanding strategic accounts.
- Drive multi-country engagements across the US and Europe, leveraging global capabilities.
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, shaping access, pricing, and evidence strategies.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing US-based team while fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.
- Ensure delivery excellence, quality standards, and profitability across global engagements.
- 12–20+ years’ experience in Market Access and/or HEOR, with significant consulting exposure.
- Experience in Global Market Access and/or HEOR, with deep US domestic payer, pricing, and reimbursement expertise and exposure across major European markets (EU4+UK).
- Broad expertise spanning evidence generation, pricing and reimbursement strategy, health economic modelling, HTA and payer engagement, value communication, and commercialization strategy.
- Proven business development success with revenue ownership.
- Track record of building or scaling consulting teams.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Located geographically in the East Coast Region.
- Experience with in a small to mid-sized or entrepreneurial consultancy.
- Recognized industry profile (publications, advisory roles, conference presence).
- Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, MBA or equivalent).
- Entrepreneurial and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
- Commercially astute and strategically minded.
- High credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Globally minded, collaborative, and culturally aware.
- Balances growth ambition with operational discipline.
- Successful establishment and operational launch of the US office.
- Recruitment and integration of a high-performing US team.
- Achievement of defined revenue growth targets.
