Junior Production Planner
General DescriptionThe Junior Production Planner is responsible for reviewing customer demand and scheduling manufacturing orders for the production departments to ensure the on‑time delivery of products to our customers. The junior planner is required to communicate effectively and work closely with all supporting departments of the organization that impact production including Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales.
Specific Duties- Review reports and the ERP system for new and/or revised customer orders.
- Release manufacturing orders based on demand and manage production schedules and priorities with the Production Departments.
- Provide the Sales Department with lead times for new orders and provide updates on existing orders.
- Keep current on the status of customer orders and manufacturing orders.
- Keep management informed of potential delays that may impact on‑time delivery of customer orders.
- Review material requirements and availability with the Purchasing and Materials Department.
- Keep current on the status of material deliveries and inventory.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts.
- Follow instructions from Supervisor.
- Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near‑misses, and injuries.

Qualifications- Previous experience working in a production environment required.
- Previous experience working in a planning and/or inventory control position required.
- Basic computer/PC skills are required.

The employee frequently is required to sit; walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, for viewing a computer terminal distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception vision for driving and ability to adjust focus.

Personal Protective Equipment The following list of PPE is required while in the manufacturing area.- Safety Glasses conforming to ANSI Z87.1 or higher
- Steel Toe Safety Shoes conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
- Hearing protection conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
