Tecomet, a global leader in precision manufacturing, is seeking a CNC Machinist III for Swiss lathes on 2nd shift. In this role you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot complex Swiss CNC equipment to produce tight-tolerance orthopedic, medical device, and aerospace components. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, making program and tool offsets, performing in-process inspections, and maintaining documentation to meet strict quality and regulatory standards.

You'll collaborate with engineering and quality teams, support continuous improvement, and uphold a strong safety and 5S culture in a clean, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Swiss CNC lathes for complex, tight-tolerance components
  • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T to meet specifications
  • Make program, tool, and offset adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools and record results
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and dimensional nonconformances
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and a clean, safe, 5
  • S-compliant work area
  • Follow quality and regulatory procedures for medical and aerospace components
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements
  • Document production, inspection data, and machine parameters accurately
  • Support continuous improvement, lean, and cost-reduction initiatives

Required Skills

  • Swiss CNC setup and operation
