The RWJBarnabas Health New Graduate RN Residency program is a one-year program that provides New Graduate RN’s with a safe, caring, supportive and robust learning environment. The new graduate nurse gains clinical competency and transitions from student to professional practice. It includes a preceptor and relationship‑guided new graduate transition program, continuing education and professional development, specialty‑specific foundational courses, professional accountability and ethical practice, recognition of the effects of skilled nursing practice on patient safety, quality and satisfaction, a self‑care focus to maintain a safe and fulfilling nursing practice, mentorship throughout the first year, hiring into the area of specialty and variable day or night shift.
Required- Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
- NJ RN licensure prior to date of hire
- Less than 6 months of RN experience
- Commitment to orientation requirements
- BLS certification
- BSN
