Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) assists older adults in living safely at home while providing comprehensive medical, health and social services. The facility serves eligible participants who are 55 years old or older, live in the designated service area, and meet state requirements for nursing home care. Services include adult day health programs, rehabilitation therapy, nutritious meals and social engagement delivered both at the center and in participants' homes.

The area features diverse outdoor attractions including the Biltmore Estate, The North Carolina Arboretum, and natural landmarks such as waterfalls and the Nantahala Gorge for whitewater rafting experiences. Visitors can explore underground formations at Linville Caverns, enjoy wildlife tours, and access various hiking and biking opportunities throughout the region's open spaces. The destination offers family-friendly activities ranging from aquarium visits to nature-based adventures suitable for different activity levels.

The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive geriatric medicine services Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm in a PACE clinic setting. Responsibilities include delivering primary medical care to eligible participants aged 55 and older who meet state requirements for nursing home care. The position involves managing both acute and chronic conditions while coordinating comprehensive medical, health and social services to support patients living safely in the community.
