Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP/APN) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP/APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing cardiology team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient cardiac care while collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Independently evaluate and manage cardiac patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- See an average of 10-15 inpatients per day and approximately 2 outpatient visits per hour.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and other appropriate treatments.
- Perform cardiac stress testing (training provided if needed).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required. (RN experience alone does not qualify).
- Hospitalist experience may be considered if it includes significant cardiac patient care.
- Comfortable evaluating and treating cardiac patients independently.
- Prior critical care experience preferred.
- Experience performing cardiac stress testing is preferred but not required.
- Expert EKG interpretation skills.
- Active New Jersey NP or PA license, CDS, and NJ DEA.
- Proof of prior malpractice insurance coverage (including tail coverage, if applicable).
- Willingness to complete hospital and insurance credentialing (approximately 3-6 months).
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- No weekends or on-call responsibilities
- 9 paid holidays

- 5 CME days with a $3,000 annual CME allowance
