ICU | Registered Nurse - NJ | 8-Week Local RN Contract – Trenton, NJ ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Contract Job in Trenton, New Jersey | Critical Care Float Pool

Experienced ICU nurses wanted in Trenton, NJ: join an 8-week critical care float pool contract supporting high-acuity patients across multiple campus settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled ICU Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, flexible healthcare environment. Located in the 08638 area, Trenton offers convenient access to major New Jersey and Pennsylvania communities and serves as a vibrant regional healthcare hub for dedicated clinicians.

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2300-$2400
  • Specialty: ICU / Critical Care Float Pool
  • Start Date: 9/8/2026
  • Duration: 8-week contract
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Float Requirement: Will float between regional campuses and may float to additional campus locations as needed
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of current ICU and MST experience required
  • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • NIH certification required
  • Ability to adapt quickly to multiple units, campuses, and critical care environments
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and related critical care settings
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately and promptly in Cerner
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Respond effectively to changes in patient condition, emergencies, and rapid clinical needs
  • Float to assigned campuses and units based on staffing and patient care needs
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety practices
