Quality Assurance - QA​/QC Operator, Quality Engineering

Job Description

Reporting to the Blending Process Supervisor, the Blender Operator performs blending and repackaging of a powdered polymer, ensuring adherence to all required written procedures to ensure product is processed free of contamination.

• Perform blending and repackaging of a powdered polymer.
• Report equipment malfunctions to Maintenance and assist with repairs and routine maintenance.
• Follow GMP’s for good documentation practices, record keeping and personnel hygiene.
• Immediately report any issues relating to production to the direct Supervisor.
• Complete work according to the issued production schedule.
• Wear a respirator and obtain successful respirator fit testing upon hiring and annually.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follow all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Wear required PPE including lab coat, hair net, gloves, etc.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be willing to work established shifts.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.
• Must have forklift driving experience.
• Computer skills desired.

• Must successfully complete Blender Operator certification within the first 12 months of employment.
• Must be certified by physical examination to wear a respirator.

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour.
