Quality Assurance Summer Student

We are seeking a motivated QA Summer Student or Recent Graduate to join our Quality Assurance team in a fast‑paced meat processing facility. This entry‑level opportunity provides hands‑on experience in food safety, HACCP compliance, environmental monitoring, and quality systems.

This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build practical experience in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.

• Assist with environmental swabbing (ATP, ACC, Listeria)
• Support HACCP monitoring and verification activities
• Participate in pre‑operational inspections
• Assist with product sampling and documentation
• Review Certificates of Analysis (Cof As)
• Enter QA data into spreadsheets and internal systems
• Support label verification and product hold/release processes
• Participate in internal audits and quality improvement projects

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related program
• Basic understanding of HACCP and GMPs (asset)
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a cold production environment
• Reliable transportation required
