Location:

Shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Rate: $42.04 per hour (subject to variation based on experience, schedule, location, etc.)
Role SummaryThe Pharmaceutical Development Technician (PDT) – Chemical Process Development performs tests and assays on in‑process samples using high‑performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), spectrophotometers, Karl Fischer apparatus, and other analytical equipment. Laboratory responsibilities include preparation and labeling of standards, samples, reagents, glassware storage and cleaning, and general housekeeping. The PDT maintains laboratory documentation and equipment in compliance with GLP & GMP standards, and assists in the development and validation of analytical methods under the guidance of a scientist or lab supervisor.
Certain projects require work in potent compound containment areas following established safety procedures.
- Conduct assays and tests on in‑process samples using HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, Karl Fischer apparatus, and other equipment.
- Prepare and properly label standards, samples, and reagents.
- Store and clean glassware and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records in compliance with GLP & GMP regulations.
- Assist in development and validation of analytical methods under supervision.
- Work safely in potential hazardous areas; use personal protective equipment as required.
- Associate’s Degree in life sciences (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) or a minimum of 5 years of related experience in bulk fine chemicals, bulk API, or petrochemical analysis.
- Proficiency in operating laboratory, analytical, and computer equipment.
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Team player capable of working collaboratively.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
The position requires handling chemical, radiological, or biological agents that may pose health hazards. Employees must follow all safety procedures and use personal protective clothing/ equipment when required.
