Regional Base Representative Part-Time Hourly/Temporary: $30/hour 25 hours/week Office of Military and Veteran Enrollment and Outreach

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Military and Veteran Admissions and Enrollment Services, the Regional Base Representative fulfills an important role in support of the University’s Military and Veteran Admissions and Enrollment Services Team and is responsible for assisting students and staff with the basic administrative functions and activities involved in each phase of the student’s application and enrollment process with the University.

General responsibilities include responding to telephone and e-mail inquiries regarding admissions and enrollment policies and procedures, course registration and navigation, as well as other administrative functions related to earning a degree with the University. The Regional Base Representative will assist the Associate Director of Military and Veteran Admissions and Enrollment Services and team with additional responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques essential to perform assigned responsibilities.
  • Enhanced customer service knowledge.
  • Ability to acquire extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate office operations.
  • Ability to assist in establishing systems and procedures.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and apply established law, regulations, procedures, precedents and guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret and counsel students and others concerning University programs, tuition, financial aid, the University evaluation tool, Learning Management System, my Edison, as well as various other activities and services.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize the Recruit, Colleague, and Help Desk ticket platforms as it pertains to daily and departmental responsibilities.
  • Ability to establish and lead cooperative working relationships and coordinate with other offices or organizations that impact assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to represent the University by participating in or speaking at conferences, meetings, and seminars.
  • Ability to prepare clear, technically sound, accurate and informative reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Ability to prepare correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain essential records and files.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Increase new military-affiliated student enrollments.
  • Increase reenrolled military-affiliated student enrollments.
  • Schedule and present monthly admitted not registered webinars for students in assigned Recruit CRM territories.
  • Assist new students with the application and registration process at the University.
  • Conduct pre-enrollment counseling to guide new prospective students and applicants.
  • Guide returning inactive students through the reenrollment process at the University.
  • Participate and complete work through Colleague, Recruit CRM, and Help Desk ticket system.
  • Respond to and follow up on student inquiries through University phone system.
  • Respond to and follow up on student email requests and inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving student issues, when necessary, involving: admissions, registration, financial aid, testing and other student-facing offices.
  • Upon evaluation completion, provide via email, a personalized email to new students that includes degree specific information, including two course recommendations.
  • Investigate administrative and organizational problems and assists in developing and implementing solutions to help achieve organizational goals.
