About the Role

This premier private country club in Central New Jersey is seeking a driven, relationship‑focused Business Development Manager to accelerate Event Revenue growth, Membership Enrollment and strengthen community partnerships to create new revenue opportunities across the club’s amenities. The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with clients and community business, and create strategies to drive revenue growth.

The role will involve market analysis, networking, and generating leads for catering and membership growth to align with company goals. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs and implementing innovative sales and marketing plans. This role is ideal for a polished, proactive sales professional with a passion for hospitality and high‑end service environments.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in sales, negotiation, and strategic planning
  • Proficiency in market analysis and business strategy development
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leadership, team collaboration, and project management
  • Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to perform under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields; relevant work experience may be considered. Familiarity with the hospitality and events industry is a plus
What You’ll Do Business & Community Partnerships
  • Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and corporate groups
  • Promote club amenities through partnership packages, golf outings, and events
  • Represent the club at community functions and networking events
  • Engage with area Chambers of Commerce
Revenue & Event Development
  • Partner with events and marketing teams to promote private events and special programs
  • Identify new revenue opportunities across corporate meetings, dining, golf, and social offerings
  • Generate sales leads within State and Local Government agencies for Events and Meetings
Membership Growth
  • Assist in the membership sales cycle—from prospecting and tours to closing
  • Build and manage a strong lead pipeline through networking, referrals, and outreach
  • Deliver exceptional prospect experiences that reflect the club’s premium brand
Member Engagement
  • Support initiatives that enhance member satisfaction and retention
  • Assist in planning and supporting club programs, social events, and new‑member integration
  • Track KPIs, pipeline activity, and sales performance
  • Provide monthly updates and recommendations for continued growth
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of sales or business development experience (hospitality or luxury services a plus)
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Energetic, polished, and highly self‑motivated
