** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and contacting local law enforcement and/or medical personnel when appropriate.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and screen visitor and vendor entry in accordance with site protocols, helping to support restricted area control and orderly movement throughout the location.

+ Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

+ Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
