Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong communication and customer service. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, using de‑escalation techniques and contacting local law enforcement and/or medical personnel when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and screen visitor and vendor entry in accordance with site protocols, helping to support restricted area control and orderly movement throughout the location.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
