Material Handling Tech

Farmers Equipment Company is a full-service agricultural, material handling and construction equipment dealer with locations in both Lynden and Burlington. We currently have an opening for a Material Handling Service Technician I to work out of our Burlington Store serving customers at their locations throughout Whatcom County.

• Service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment to OEM specifications at customer locations.
• Represent FEC in a professional manner while serving internal and external customers.
• Accurately detail repairs done on Work Orders.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, research parts and repairs needed to successfully resolve issues leading to a positive outcome.
• Ability to meet Standard Repair Times for assigned work.
• Meet company goal for Collectable Efficiency.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Minimum three years directly applicable experience preferred.
• Competency in computer-based troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform work in a safe and professional manner, both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Clear driving record with valid Driver’s License.
• Proven dependability and good housekeeping skills.
