Pool Designs is a full service swimming pool installation and service company. We install one-piece fiberglass pools throughout the State of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. Each pool installation is generally completed in a single day, with electric, gas, and masonry work completed by a subcontractor on a later date.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at pool installation sites. Prior swimming pool installation experience is encouraged for applicants for this position. As the foreman, you are the face of Pool Designs on the installation date and will manage the crew of 4 to 6 workers. Each pool installation should be completed in a single day and it is the foreman's responsibility to assure that the installations move along on schedule.
Candidates for this position must be well-organized and be able to resourceful decisions on the jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Meet with customers on the day of installation, prior to excavation, to lay the pool template and set elevations.
- Meet with inspectors on the installation day
- Supervise workers
- Keep the box truck stocked with all materials needed for installations and upgrades
- Visit jobsites prior to installation to determine access for equipment, fence and vegetation removal, and grading plans.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress and issues from the jobsite.
Skills
- Proven experience as construction foreman
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, setback requirements for pool and equipment, and excavation plans
- Ability to read drawings, plans and topography
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Aptitude in math
- Problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
