PostgreSQL Developer
Location:
Trenton, NJ (Hybrid Candidates must work 3 days a week ON‑SITE)
Contract Duration: 12+ Months
We are looking for a PostgreSQL Developer to design, build, and maintain healthcare data integrations across systems using PostgreSQL and Oracle, ensuring seamless data interoperability between internal and third‑party health systems.
Interview process:
An onsite interview is required. Applicants will complete an automated screening questionnaire after approval. Strong communication skills are required.
- Design and develop key modules within our client's system
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to ensure seamless data integration and interoperability
- Understand functional requirements and technical specifications to implement technical solutions
- Work independently and as part of a team to design, develop, and test software applications
- Provide accurate estimates for design and programming efforts
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and data integrity issues
- Prepare, maintain, and catalog technical documentation and artifacts
Required:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience developing and supporting PostgreSQL databases
- Experience in database design, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Strong experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views
- Experience with database integration, ETL processes, and data migration activities
- Full‑time professional work experience in Information Technology
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience with Oracle databases.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment or equivalent fast‑paced setting
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
