Senior Software Engineer, Java, React

• Design, develop, and unit test features for a business-critical website
• Collaborate and align with security standards prescribed by the security office
• Partner with product owners to decompose features
• Align with Project Governance requirements for development efforts
• Work in a SAFe agile team with developers, QA, business users, internal teams, and periodic external partners
• Maintain existing software and software documentation

• 6 or more years of full stack technology experience in J2EE and front-end technologies
• Solid command of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, Type Script, Micro-Frontends, JPA/Hibernate/iBatis, REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL, Oracle, and DB2
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, AWS, and microservices
• Strong knowledge of release, build, and configuration management practices
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Familiarity with the insurance domain
• Ability to prioritize and manage work while adhering to critical and aggressive project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Extensive experience in Software Development Life Cycle Management using Scaled Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent
• Reside in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

Demonstrates extensive experience in Full Stack Development with a strong command of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and front-end technologies such as React and Node.js. Proficient in Software Development Life Cycle Management using Scaled Agile methodologies and capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
