Warehouse Driver

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate-Driver is responsible for receiving incoming merchandise and preparing outgoing merchandise for delivery or shipping. They also load, unload, and deliver merchandise, supplies, equipment, ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct while making sure all storage areas are always clean and tidy.

• Observe all traffic rules, posted speed signs and bridge weight and height requirements, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Follow designated routes to maintain deliveries within the timeframe guaranteed to the customer.
• Accurately load and unload products while maintaining a high level of care for the goods being carried.
• Ensure delivered products match the customer location and manifest by product identification and quantity.
• Inspect all merchandise prior to and during transport; photograph loads prior to transport and at the time of delivery and obtain signatures on paperwork upon receipt or delivery.
• Maintain inventory control and ensure shipping accuracy.
• Transport and deliver all orders on time.
• Contribute to meeting and exceeding production standards.
• Coordinate warehouse picking and receiving, warehouse cleanup, and material movement.
• Process orders accurately and efficiently and identify products based on product codes and/or physical characteristics.
• Inspect products for defects and stock products in the appropriate location, updating the system with the correct location.
• Ensure all products are properly labeled with product , unit quantities and order information as appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of delivery vehicles.

• Ability to make sound decisions related to safe driving and the delivery and placement of loads.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on business needs and comply with all state and deferral driving regulations.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with other employees, customers, and vendors.
• Familiarity with the operation of a smartphone and GPS navigation.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to constantly improve.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21+ years of age (due to insurance restrictions).
• Two plus years of distribution and/or logistics delivery experience with a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Some warehouse knowledge with shipping, receiving, inventory and material handling in a company vehicle.
• Having a valid CDL Class A or B license would be a plus.
• Construction industry experience is desired but not required.

• Typical warehouse environment: ability to bend, sit, stand, walk, reach, and lift and move up to 50 pounds onto and off skids at ground level.
• Ability to sit in a truck cabin for long periods and to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to climb into a truck cabin and on/off a truck bed, and move skids with the aid of a pallet jack.
• Continuous standing, lifting, bending, and twisting.
• Travel is required to drive loads to multiple locations or to customer-designated locations.
• Flexibility to work a 5 am to 5 pm shift Monday–Friday. Overtime expected as needed; some weekends and nights may be required.

• Range is $19-22 per hour DOE.
