Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and reliable Linehaul Team Drivers to join our transportation team. The Linehaul Team Driver is responsible for safely transporting freight over long distances on scheduled routes between terminal locations. These runs often require team drivers to operate as a two-person unit, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles in a safe, responsible, and professional manner at all times.
- Long-Distance Hauling: Transport freight between terminals, distribution centers, or warehouses across regional or national routes.
- Team Driving: Collaborate with a co-driver to complete long-distance hauls. One driver may rest while the other is driving to ensure the continuous movement of freight.
- Timely Deliveries: Ensure timely arrival at destination points while adhering to scheduled pickup and delivery times.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and cargo to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Compliance with Regulations: Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS), weight restrictions, and other relevant laws.
- Cargo Securement: Verify that all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and balanced to prevent damage during transit.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with dispatch and management to provide status updates and report any issues that arise.
- Rest and Break Schedules: Adhere to legal rest periods and maintain proper logs as per federal and state guidelines.
- Post-Trip Inspections: Complete post-trip inspections and ensure that the truck is properly maintained and ready for the next shift.
Qualifications:
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License): Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years of (CDL) driving experience.
- Team Driving
Experience:
Previous experience in team driving roles is a plus. - Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, (up to 50 lbs.), perform physical tasks such as inspections, and endure long hours on the road.
- Strong Communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with co-drivers, dispatchers, and other team members. - Problem-Solving
Skills:
Ability to handle unexpected situations such as road delays, mechanical issues, or adverse weather conditions. - Customer Focused: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring freight arrives in good condition and on time.
Schedule:
- Full-time position Monday night to Saturday Morning. Dedicated Runs
