Job Description
The Warehouse Shipping Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse by efficiently managing the flow of goods in and out. This position involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, particularly the shipping and receiving departments, to process orders accurately and maintain comprehensive record keeping. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the clerk uses warehouse management systems and equipment to optimize inventory control while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits
- Coordinate shipping schedules and documentation with relevant teams
- Oversee receipt of incoming shipments and verify contents
- Process orders promptly and maintain up-to-date records
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Pack, load, and unload shipments accurately and on time
- Maintain detailed documentation for all shipping and receiving activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inventory management and control
- Proficient forklift operation skills
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational abilities
