Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Night Shift

Compensation: $30.42
Schedule: Night Shift, 7 pm – 7 am
Job Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
- Provide health‑related training to unlicensed personnel
- Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
- Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
- Conduct medication closest assessments
- Collect health‑related data
- Observe for and report any abnormal health‑related findings to the physician
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported
- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
- Current CPR certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team members, the people supported, and their families
- Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks
Physical requirements: Must be able to regularly lift 20 pounds, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, pull a minimum of 25 pounds, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop, regularly stand and walk, demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level, meet vision requirements for close, distance, and peripheral vision, and communicate effectively.
