Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Weekend Nights

Location: Trenton, TN (On-Site)

Employment Type: Part-time

Schedule: Saturday - Sunday, 8pm - 8am

Compensation: $30.42

Incentives: No sign-on bonus offered. No relocation package offered.

Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
  • Provide health-related training to unlicensed personnel.
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration.
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled.
  • Conduct medication close assessments.
  • Collect health-related data.
  • Observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician.
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, the people supported, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks.

Physical requirements include: ability to regularly lift 20 pounds; minimum 40 pounds; pull a minimum of 25 pounds; ability to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop; ability to stand and walk regularly; proficiency in CPR from floor level. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision. Must be able to communicate.

  • Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
  • Drug testing.
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required).
  • Positions that require driving:
    Proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle if required for providing transportation for individuals.
