What You’ll Do
Student Support- Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and reinforcing academic skills.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support to students.
- Support students with disabilities in implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and classroom activities.
- Assist with classroom preparation, learning materials, and instructional activities.
- Help monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation as assigned.
- Promote positive student behavior and assist with classroom management.
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, buses, and other school settings.
- Escort students safely throughout the school day and during arrival and dismissal.
- Report behavioral concerns, safety issues, injuries, or other student-related incidents to the appropriate staff.
- Accompany and supervise students during field trips and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet students' academic, behavioral, and social needs.
- Participate in IAT and IEP meetings as requested and support implementation of student plans.
- Assist with parent communication as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Bachelor's degree in Education preferred. - Current Ohio Educational Aide Permit (or ability to obtain).
- Successful completion of required state and federal background checks.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, email, and basic computer applications.
