Work Based Learning​/Community Engagement Coordinator

Career Systems Development Corporation seeks a Work Based Learning/Community Engagement Coordinator to connect Job Corps students with meaningful real-world experiences. In this role, you will build partnerships with local employers, schools, and community groups, coordinate internships, job shadowing, and service projects, and prepare students for workplace success through job readiness activities. You will collaborate with instructors and counselors, track outcomes, and represent CSD's mission-driven, student-centered values while supporting young adults on their path to self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage work-based learning and community engagement programs for students in Job Corps centers
• Build and maintain partnerships with local employers, community organizations, and education partners
• Coordinate student job shadowing, internships, service learning, and other experiential opportunities
• Prepare students for work-based learning through job readiness workshops, orientation, and ongoing support
• Collaborate with instructional and counseling staff to align community experiences with training goals
• Track participation, outcomes, and employer feedback; maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Organize community events, employer visits, and career-related activities on and off campus
• Support students in meeting performance, behavior, and attendance expectations during placements
• Promote CSD's mission and represent the center positively in the community
• Ensure compliance with Job Corps, company, and partner policies and safety standards
